The department of pathology THQ Hospital Sadiqabad is a well-established and well equipped department and optimum temperature for all equipment commensurate to the clinical services provided by THQ Hospital Sadiqabad and consists of 03 sections which are working 24 hours as detailed below. Pathology department is headed by Dr. Abdul Rauf Laghari.

Sample Identification

• Reception staff notes patient’s Medical Registration number and required investigations in lab collection register
• Patient reports to reception desk with physician/surgeon’s advice

Specimen Collection

Handling of Sample

Enlisted below are the main points:

• Only the trained technician handles the specimens
• All specimen should be dealt as infectious material
• The broken specimen should not be touched

Radiology

Radiology is the science that uses medical imaging to diagnose and sometimes also treat diseases within the body. A variety of imaging techniques such as X-ray radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging etc. Radiology Department provides diagnostic services to all department of the hospital. Radiology Department in this hospital is easily accessible for general public. X-rays are a form of electromagnetic radiation, as is visible light, but with some different characteristics. The important difference is that X rays can penetrate or pass through the human body and produce shadow-like images of structures such as bones, some of the organs, and signs of disease and injury. THQ Hospital Sadiqabad has an established and trusted Radiology and Imaging services that help in fully diagnose the disease and plan the treatment which includes traditional and Digital X-Ray service. One X-Ray unit is specifically reserve for trauma emergency service at THQ Hospital Sadiqabad. THQ Hospital Sadiqabad has 2 X-ray Machines.

• From time to time assignments are given to doctors and discussed to remain in touch with advancements in Radiology
• In future Digital X-Ray Machine shall be launched
